Decorative tole is a
classification for painting on any surface and in any medium. In
the past, the term, tole painting, meant ‘to paint on tin’. We now
use the term to mean using a pattern or hand drawing for your
basic design giving the artist the opportunity to follow another
artist's instructions or to use their own creativity and self
expression. Using your own imaginatiion and emotions allows
you to create a different look from the same pattern. This gives a
most gratifying and satisfying experience.

Early American stained background. The bead around the edge
and the back are painted Black Green. This is from a Ronnie
Bringle design. There are five decoys: Canadian Goose,Swan,

Finial Snowmen
These are done on a wooden
finial. They are 4 1/2” tall and 2 1/2” wide. #1 has red ear muffs
with a scarf & honey brown bottom; #2 has a Black top hat,
Burgundy bottom with JOY on it; #3 has a Red knit hat & Blue
bottom with snowflakes. All the bases are done with Snow-tex and
then glitter added to look like sparkling snow. Really adorable!

Soap with Flag & Crow
This is painted on Pure & Natural
soap. It is so Americana! The flag has 13 stars and a crow holding
a star with the word Peace on it. It is painted to look old. The
design will not come off, the soap wears from the bottom.

Whimsical Santa Pull-toy
How cute! This pull-toy is 5” long
and 4 3/4” tall. It has a 3” wooden ball with a whisical Santa face
painted on it. His fur hat band is white with 3 holly leaves and
berries on it. When you pull the toy the ball rotates and changes
positions. You may choose the wagon to be dark green (as
shown)
